Celmo's Classic Wave Synth

Post by dawman »

Here's some wacked out spacey Star Trek memories done w/ Celmo's Classic Wave Synth.

Sorry about the 7/8 meter, but I grow weary of the basic time signatures lately.

Hmmm..... that´s some spacey sounds, for shure. :o
Good work there, Jimmy! :P
Celmo has some great things for sale!
I use his guitar_amp_modeller as the base for my guitar-sound,
wich I´m very happy with !
In fact, I never had such great sound when I was playing live, ever !

Thanks Brotha' Man Zangsta,

What a schmuck I am.

I just used the Limiter S. and have a much better mix now.

I am really enjoying the tips on using the devices to mix better.

The simple drum tack was mastered in separate channels this time, and I will continue to use that project as my basis for MIDI drum tracks from C4 into VDAT.

Oh well, each posting seems to get me closer to better quality mixing, so I will continue this.

I really enjoy listening to other peoples mixes and posting here.

The forum really shines as a place to learn.

Once I get some nice monitors I can quit mixing w/ these inefficient headphones. I didn't expect much for 60 bucks.

Well, keep them anyway.. Much as I prefer to mix with speakers, headphones may help with getting the stereo-perspective right,
and also hearing little details that gets lost in speaker/room set-up.
Unwanted noise is easier spotted in them as well, and the quality of the phones is not that critical for this..
But as long as I´m not doing final mixes for releases, I stay away from them..

Quite right, that´s the reality of the times we live in !
If I was running a studio now, I´d probably have an assortment of different mp3-players and headphones to try mixes on !

I like it! :-)
Nice the e-piano too!
Jimmy is that e-piano an hardware or a software one?

I'm listening with my AKG240 and the phased delay on the lead is marvellous, it fits the panorama in a fantastic way IMO. Good work!
Welcome to the dawning of a new empire

Actually Brotha' Man Lima,

It's Prowave using SpaceF's Sinus Oscillators.

Glad U Like It.

I have another E.Piano which is Scarbee's RSP '73 Rhodes here, but it is buried in effects, as I was trying to show off Mehdhi's updated awesome AUX Delay.

There is some Mahavishnu old track reminiscence...isn't it? If I'm not wrong from the Inner Mounting Flame CD......

Anyway, great stuff. I agree with Gary about a little too hyped sounds, but you have a particular good taste which is also very personal.

It took a bit to start recording, but now...

Copy That Brotha' Man Alfonso.

Jan Hammer, Billy Cobham, Big Ralph Armstrong, Jerry Goodwin, and of course John McLaughlin.

The off meter tempo is great for practicing with.

I thought the Classic Wave would sound better here, than Good Vibrations grooves from the Beach Boys.
