Die Worte des Glaubens

Post by soylent.green »

Hi Planetz-arians,

first of all: I wish you all very pleasant christmas and an extraordinary successful new year.
Hopefully we see soniccore back in 2009 with xite and the new version of scope software.

Here's a little sketch of work I'm currently working on - use this Link, no attachment: http://www.konglomer.at/Topics/musik/pr ... aubens.mp3

It seems to become one of my "favourite" habits to post half-way through stuff here...hope you don't mind. But anyway I'm looking forward to getting any kind of feedback from you.

This piece is inspired by Friedrich Schillers poem "Worte des Glaubens" (see http://www.versalia.de/archiv/Schiller/ ... _.488.html for the whole text)

The sketch right now contains the 1st verse only:

"Drei Worte nenn' ich euch, inhaltschwer,
Sie gehen von Munde zu Munde,
Doch stammen sie nicht von außen her;
Das Herz nur gibt davon Kunde.
Dem Menschen ist aller Werth geraubt,
Wenn er nicht mehr an die drei Worte glaubt. "

Sorry for the none-german speeking guys - I haven't found a english version of the poem and honestly, I'm not good enough to translate a poem by Friedrich Schiller (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friedrich_Schiller).

I did this track completly in cubase 4 with a bit of mixing in scope. All synths and effects are cubase plugins.
