Yep, I have a problem

Quite simply, is there a rectifier device for Pulsar platform?

Thanks in advance!

I'd eat my own balls if I'd know what is a rectifier, or it is a Erectifier

Hahahah, pretty good one I have to say

Rectifier simply inverts the phase of the negative portion of the signal (I think, if that makes any sense?). However, what it can output is more important: distortion and strange noise... I am not aware of that many devices which use this effect, but at least Line 6 POD (guitar fx) has a very nice rectifier...

Hope this cleared a bit

Like what you can do, if you split up the phases, and put them both thru a diode?

defex asked a developer to code a recifier atom (?) for scope - which he's used in a few of his newer devices (defilter, destortion...i believe).

no such device exists by itself, but when i asked how to do this in the modular II, defex kindly replied with a method of doing it.

i haven't gotten around to trying it out, as it takes quite a few modules just to do. i eventually will...

check the thread here.

the "rectifier" setting on the pod refers to the distortion settings one can get with a specific model of tube guitar amp. a.k.a the mesa-boogie dual rectifier.so called because it has two rectifier circuits.(the rectifier changes ac from the wall to dc)the rectifier is not some sort of effect, but the amp has specific qualities, the main one a quality of distortion.guitar amps are low-fi devices, you are employing a guitar amp simulator as a low-fi filter.

Thanks a lot Castol for bringing these Neutron devices to my attention! For some reason I had not noticed them earlier... I will be sure to check them out as soon as my exam period is over - not much time to make music right now

Thanks,
