Parallize (updated jan. 28.)

Ok.

Just a parallel insert with variable +/- 100 sample delay. I haven't seen something quite like this, so I made it.

1. load effect

2. hit phase button.

3. adjust sample and mix til you hear the "pumping"-effect. Many times you will not need to adjust sample offset at all.

4. hit phase button and adjust mix to taste.

Now, if I only could get it to do this automatically automatically .

UPDATE 28.01.09:

- Better sample offset handling. Dry signal is not delayed at '0' and below.

Yes, in XTC track stays too long on 2,15 ms (Nuendo does not compensate a delay)
It is indemnification more than Sample offset in Parallize! (0,08 ms does not reach)

Hmm, you mean the plug-in loads and functions in XTC-mode? I couldn't get that to happen. But if so that is great news.

As of now, at mid setting '0', dry signal is actually delayed 100 samples, which is about 2ms. XTC only reports the hardware delay I think, but I am not sure.
I am working on how to only delay dry signal as needed, as it is sometimes necessary to "go back in time" because of how the DSP loads.

just a question. why would you need it in xtc mode? all daws have automatic latency compensation already..

Not all Plug-ins have automatic latency !
It is very small on some - but Drums, having many microphones - does not stand such delays
Not comfortably to calculate

As far as the workings of XTC-mode, I can't do much with how the VST-wrapper reports latency to the host.
However, this device is for counteracting phase problems associated with parallel processing within the DSP-environment. With this it is pretty easy to set up parallel compression, with whatever dynamic tool, on the drum-bus for instance.

You will probably have to readjust on reloading the project though.

Yes! plug loads in XTC fine!
Especially now!!! - His delay now In position "0" is only 0,04-0.08 ms (Almost got )

Now he is manages time-lagged both forward and back!!!

I thought it was obvious, but it is for parallel compression mainly, if you happen to do that only a daily basis.

I guess you can make key-signals with this too (loading an EQ) for side-chaining. Or combine with EQ + dynamics.
This is mainly why I am going to do a mono version too.
