Intermetro - 3010 Future Remix

Post by kensuguro »

A song with minimal parts. We're planning a small MIDI experiment where the MIDI will control the visuals, hence the sparse arrangement. I hope we can hook up the stuff right. This song is very chiptune-ish, just not that harsh. Uses a freeware SID synth for leads and bass, going through lots of distortion for Cyanide. (great free overdrive vsti) I went totally native with this one since it had to be played back live. Native isn't bad at all I find. I couldn't get a good reverb to run on my old P4-3ghz, but on a modern core2duo, native rocks. Mixing is a little hard, but once you find a basic bread and butter set of effect you like, things get a little easier.

Awesome " Live " Techno Drummer !!
Performed as if a real drummer was doing the tracks.
Hi-Hat drops out when flams or Tom rolls happen......
Very realistic even though it is virtual, very well done.
I like the way the melody is clean and the rhythm section has a dirty edge.
How many octaves on your controller?

It sounded like you were working your bassline around a lack of notes at first take.
I have done it many times my self.
Nice workaround.
Just don't come back on me saying " oh no, that's the way it was spose' to be. "
