Intermetro: Just The Right Fit
This if for our up coming set. I'm trying to throw in more performance orientated material, not sure if this one will work. There is a void where I can play some sort of melody, but it works without a distinct melody also. This one's a mix of deep house (the old stuff), and well, the usual mash up of everything I know.

No vote from me Brotha' Man.
Only becuase it's too strong of a groove to end.
I mean push it into a medley, or fade into another groove.
That's why I couldn't say yes or no.
I like the Clav synth. Using the octave below Middle C as your Bass Clef trigger is old school Herbie for sure.
I also like the way you use lower octaves of TBO when you record the Piano. That's half the sound IMHO. To play the one handed sissy style is so " Smooth Jazz " Kenny G. Puke.
Nice powerful groove, you have to let it die before you could build it up though ' eh?
No sense doing that unless you inject an interlude with some Barry White kind of talkover....

Oh yea ! Fkn lov it man
played or all sequenced ? Sweet sounding chords and bass
I didn't liked the snare sound very much (i think it needs a bit of snap, maybe another sample layered) but the groove is really great.
Great harmonic ideas and voicings
For the build up,since the song is long enough to end, what about adding a good amount of stuff (ex. a solo over the evolving strings ) on the coda and slowly fading out ? This way you will have the groove goin' without really interrupting !
I thing a build up would sound forced to my ears.
IMHO the song is perfect the way it is, just fado it out or like Xite said a medley would sound great

We are enjoying his humbleness temporarily.
Soon he will be in demand in NYC and that's all it takes in that town.
15 minutes of fame there can last decades.

hehe, doesn't seem like that's happening anytime soon. And as soon as I become a douche bag I'm gonna have to tear myself down and start from scratch. haha.
btw, brain, you didn't have to take down your comment, what you said is correct. The tune borrows from that specific sound you described as a nostalgic hook. It's supposed to be a little gross and kitsch.

It's a good 'bed' for other instruments to jam over.
Could use 'real' drums IMO.
Otherwise good groove, I like it.
How 'bout a list of instruments used - especially the Scope modules.
Thanks,
Greg
