can anyone confirm that the asio latencies are a lot better with scope 5? i don't understand it at all, but since i've installed scope 5 about a week ago cubase responds at 12ms like it was on 6ms withe scope 4.5..
anyone had the same experience?
latency in scope 5
Re: latency in scope 5
hmm if noone experienced the same it's probebly because i recently bought a poco6000 and had to optimize all my drivers/bios etc before it worked flawless...
probebly helped the good old pulsars too

Re: latency in scope 5
You have to set the latency in scope. Its under settings. 12 ms is the default when you install. And the lower the better.
Re: latency in scope 5
i know that...
BUT what i'm experiencing is that i recently set the 4.5 software to 12ms so i could load more native plugins.. but i was pretty irritated with the external plugins i use in cubase for external gear giving really high latencies with that setting..
now, with 5.0 installed my external synths seem to give about the same playing latency as they did with 6ms in 4.5...
not that it's not a good thing.. but i don't understand how this is possible except for optimzed asio drivers (or maybe the 1648 mixer is optimized, which is between the asio out and the output that goes to the speakers)
or maybe just because i optimized my bios irq settings etc
