Re: SFP5 - New features, fixes, bugs?

Re: SFP5 - New features, fixes, bugs?
BTW FWIW.........The DAS Gate is awesome. I used Rocktron's and Drawmer Quad's and thought they did their job well, as hardware should.
But the DAS Gate is like having a Drawmar DS404 Quad w/ a 48 Channel Patch Bay, and Digital I/O. It is a very important peice of gear IMHO. Even though the color is quite Gay...

Re: SFP5 - New features, fixes, bugs?
That would be TOO cool... I never used sidechaining in scope again since I came to that bug and did it everytime on the native sideRP_001 wrote:Hopefully they will also fix the bug for remembering the sidechain input when restarting a project..
which was not really sounding good... I.M HOPING!!!

it's just me or dynatube settings are still not loaded when one load a project with this device??
i have to save a dynatube preset when i finish the work and then recall it next time i reload the project.
very annoying!

Re: SFP5 - New features, fixes, bugs?
It's not just you.
Stuff like this is a definite show stopper as you stop using them just because of the annoyance.

Re: SFP5 - New features, fixes, bugs?
how many have taken advantage of S/C's bug email?
Re: SFP5 - New features, fixes, bugs?
Yeah, I could see having a seperate area with listings.that could be a great benefit.
I find communicating with others who actively use their gear a quick way too.
I no longer have cards, but just yesterday I asked a member to verify something on his cards. Then asked another member to verify on his XITE-1 and it worked out great.
Plus it's a great way for me to learn multiple dialects such as Pakrit and Ukranian Kievan Rus.

that's just a bad attitude.
Re: SFP5 - New features, fixes, bugs?
knowing that your input has been received, issues have been confirmed and that they care for your problems is a matter of convenience. so I would call stardusts post an opinion rather than bad attitude.garyb wrote:that's just a bad attitude.stardust wrote:Would be good, but if there is no public known bug register or release notes it is like posting to santa.

Re: SFP5 - New features, fixes, bugs?
i don't need the response. just because they hold my hand and assure me that they heard, doesn't mean that they care or that they'll do anything. just seeing how people's input changed the XITE(the combo connectors on the inputs were suggested by Chris here at Pro Music Exchange), and that problems ARE being fixed little by little is proof to me. only time will tell. just writing the effort of writing a short email to the bug report address off as a letter to Santa(a fictitious character), while humorous(i DO like a good laugh), is still a perfect example of a bad attitude. it's not a value judgement or an insult.kylie wrote:knowing that your input has been received, issues have been confirmed and that they care for your problems is a matter of convenience. so I would call stardusts post an opinion rather than bad attitude.garyb wrote:that's just a bad attitude.stardust wrote:Would be good, but if there is no public known bug register or release notes it is like posting to santa.

just because you're a brave fellow (and this is still a complimentgaryb wrote:i don't need the response. just because they hold my hand and assure me that they heard, doesn't mean that they care or that they'll do anything.

I'd like to add that I was the first to suggest Z-Link, btw. but I also bugged them (again and again and again) to read topics and certain posts, and I refuse to believe I was the only one.just seeing how people's input changed the XITE(the combo connectors on the inputs were suggested by Chris here at Pro Music Exchange), and that problems ARE being fixed little by little is proof to me.
they're not exactly the ones to take credit for reading the users wishes and recommendations between the lines if they were softly forced to come here and catch some input. from all the personal responses I got from holger and ralf I can tell you they are rarely here on PZ for reading.
stop believing it's all done magically by dwarwes with funny heads behind the curtain at night while SC world is covered in total silence. they have to be poked, bugged and bothered, and knowing that you've made it through the barricades is still a matter of confidence for me.
I'm quite sure there are WAY more people getting their wishes fulfilled after writing to (fictitious) Santa than those who write feature requests to (for-real) SC. ok, fun aside. I just don't share your opinion. this time I'm with stardustjust writing the effort of writing a short email to the bug report address off as a letter to Santa(a fictitious character), while humorous(i DO like a good laugh), is still a perfect example of a bad attitude. it's not a value judgement or an insult.

Re: SFP5 - New features, fixes, bugs?
who said anything about them reading anything here?
what i mentioned was writing to the bug complaint email. it only takes a second and, if they're going to do anything, it may be the only way that the bug comes to their attention.
btw-no worries, i know this is all far from personal.

Re: SFP5 - New features, fixes, bugs?
people's input didn't get there via bugs@SC. but ok, maybe I got you wrong somehow.garyb wrote:who said anything about them reading anything here?
agreed. I admit I've never filed a bug before (or better, a new discovered one), so I can't say what their reaction is on that. but I assume stardust reference to santa was used to express that the feedback is rather poor.what i mentioned was writing to the bug complaint email. it only takes a second and, if they're going to do anything, it may be the only way that the bug comes to their attention.
indeed. if it was you would know in an instant because I would be YELLING AT YOU!btw-no worries, i know this is all far from personal.

Re: SFP5 - New features, fixes, bugs?
ok, no arguments there. since you are a good guy, you can volunteer to be in charge of that, since there's no money for such things, nor an employee with the requisite free time(but there's no need to take my word for that).
srill, my only point was that if an actual bug or needed feature is found, even a brief note to the right place is a good idea, whether or not that note is confirmed.
