No, I think he's a buffoon. I agree with him on some issues but I certainly don't have to respect him. I see nothing honorable in any aspect of the military. No nation on earth in any way is worth killing or dying for and they are not "defending" us as they claim to be. We might be trying to defend other nations but we always end up making a bigger mess. I know he's against the current wars which he should be commended for. Everyone blames the presidents and congress for the wars but the voters and the all volunteer military are equally to blame. Strictly speaking, the troops are to follow orders and do what they are told as long as it's legal and war is legalized murder; that makes them human robots. Nothing could be more cowardly than politicians from thousands of miles away ordering morons to kill other people. If you want to stop the wars now, reinstate the draft.

Once his ratings rise I am sure he will be in DC just in time to hear the big spenders try and pretend they didn't vote for Cap & Trade, or Simulus II, etc. Even Obama suddenly became concerned about fiscal responsibility in a speech yesterday when he said small business creates jobs in America, not the Government......... No kidding..? Now that the Government jobs are all filled with the unemployable that so thoroughly gaurd the bulidings in DC and check baggage at the Airports...Somebody's gotta take care of them.
I look forward to JV qouting politicians and chasing them around the Capital as they flee to their Green cars, Oooops....I forgot, they have jets and Limo's, to help battle the Global warming crisis......

Violence is the answer to what? We defend Japan and they benefit with free healthcare for all citizens without questions or forms. What is the purpose of the military? They say it is to protect lives yet our mortality is below other modern nations while we pay three times more for healthcare. Are they protecting us or are they just a bunch of boys with guns playing stupid and lethal games thousands of miles away from us. Look at cost and benefit.

When I hear about causalities in the news, it is almost always citing out military causalities. You never hear about the countless others and civilians. The CIA drone planes are the height of cowardly warfare, kill many civilians and makes a lot of people hate us. Imagine some country bombing us because of a terrorist who happened to be from here. We would be totally outraged. Violence is *not* acceptable. Be more like Switzerland and less like the a-hole founding fathers who wiped out the native Americans and built a nation off of slavery. The problem with America is big money controlling Government and yes the dumb fat Americans who are happy to sit and watch to much tv and eat to much MacDonald s while the country is been pillaged and raped by its own. I'm speaking of modern Switzerland as a neutral country which has an official policy of not getting involved with wars. We need to stop starting wars and joining wars all over the world and start taking care of our own people. For those of you who think people should be on their own, that would be total anarchy. We build roads and schools, we have Medicaid and Medicare which by the way old people love and all you hypocrites will be on if you are lucky enough to reach that age. Social security was bitterly fought by the Republicans and they would not dare touch it now. We would have plenty of money to pay for healthcare for all without the insane military budget. We don't even know how much it costs because a huge amount of the Pentagon budget is hidden. This should not be our priority! It began during the paranoid cold war and the republicans and the so called "independents" still want to continue this insane waste of money. Talk about a wasteful government program, the military is largest waste of money in the history of man. I repeat myself. There is no honor in killing people or threatening to kill them. That is not how adults should behave. Ask yourself why we are one of the only modern countries with the death penalty and legalized weapons? The answer is that we are truly a barbaric nation. When was the last time a navy SEAL actually did anything useful? We are constantly training them and we never use them.
