Re: Exresscard interface is ready
This is big news!!
I dont have an XCITE or a laptop but this is another completed task that puts them further ahead and opens up the possibility of increased sales (which hopefully means more plugin development
)
Ive gotta say that Im liking Sonicore and what they have achieved in just over a year (I dont remember Creamware having this many developments in such a short space of time!):
1. New, powerful, hardware
2. Re-written Scope to:
Work with the new XCITE
Make legacy cards compatible with current Windows OS's (providing another 10 + years of use!!)
3. VSTIM (not something I currently use but could be handy for certain projects) - Yeah this is just a renamed version of XTC but the recent development suggests they are giving DAW integration more attention and treating it with a bit more seriousness as opposed to it being an afterthought (which is what XTC always came across as-to me anyway
)
4. New Modular (Mod IV)
5. Created a Laptop interface
I think thats quite an achievement for what cant be more than a 10 person company!?!?!
Along with continuing bug fixing / optimisations I think their priority has to be with 64bit and Mac OS compatibility - only then will world domination be possible
My drunken 3 cents

Re: Exresscard interface is ready
Great news indeed.
But to be a truly mobile warrior for outdoor inspirational moments, i.e. camping under Half Dome or El Capitan, a USB powered controller, a laptop w/ spare batteries, and the XITE-1 w/ the portable power pack rechargable via lighter in the truck is crucial. The wireless warrioirs of the future will need one of these. Good for 2 hours of full tilt 110 power.
Swap the batteries while recharging the spare in the truck.......Sweet..

Re: Exresscard interface is ready
Heh...I already have an inverter in my RV, but I doubt it could handle the Xite and a laptop.

Re: Exresscard interface is ready
THe laptop uses it's Lithiums and the XITE-1 has the pack.
Then the spares are charged while jamming on.
But I also have to consider the boys. I just don't see them sitting around the campfire singing Kuhm Biy Yah MY Lord....
It's DJ Hero, Daft Punk, etc.
It's cool when your kids love music that I can relate to. They always like rapping certain dool lines form a particular rap song, but they do like music...
It's going to be a great summer in Tahoe and Yosemite, screw Las Vegas.
I prefer watching global warming with a clear sky......

you can always bring one of those bicycle-powered generators and jam while you cycle.

Re: Exresscard interface is ready
So, has anyone scoped out (pun intended) any W7-ready laptops (with the proper chipset) to run Xite?
I guess I'm in the market soon.
Sonica?
Alienware?
