Appart from my frustration about not being able to use my scope stuff on my 64 bit win 7 core i7 system I did a new track with cubase 5.1, some of it's synths and effects, accompanied by free VSTis und VST effects.
Find the track here: http://www.konglomer.at/Topics/musik/Al ... nal_v7.mp3
Hope you like it though it has nothing of scope in it...it's pretty astonishing how much a core i7 is able to do without getting hick ups.

Sounds good.
I recently played a new i7 build using SSD and SATA III/USB 3.0.
Zero hiccups as you said and I loaded several large VSTi's.
I still prefer real Analog synths and Scope DSP synths, but Kontakt 4.0 is so far ahead of the pack for sample playback and editing, I could never go back to using hardware samplers.
Having software that functions better than hardware equivalents is now a reality.
I had 8 x instances of Kontakt loaded with all 16 channels on each instance.
Amazing bandwidth.
Nice Tunes......

Good job.
Nunziata?? Annunziata was a widespread name here, where are you from?
What do you mean? Are you putting a question or is it an assertion?

Hello
I'm still using win XP 32 here, so I can't help with that
I've recently given a try to Vista 64 (not for DAW applications) cause I was thinking 64 bit CPU data bus could increase perfomances ( I can remember a performance increase when I updated my old Intel 486 based machine to win 95 from win 3.1 ), but I can't notice much other than increased memory addressing...
Ma... parli l'italiano?
