A straight play through for a yoga / relaxation project. Just a simple improv sequence recorded and played once through. (but 8 min!) Point is that I couldn't really create much dynamics so as to stay "ambient". Mostly just nice tone and reverb..
Piano play style is a mix of chinese gu zhen style playing and dense block chords. Really the ambience is what counts. Was going for a very "ocean" sound with the deep reverbs. At least to me, the tone is strangely addictive. Imagine being 40ft down under water, looking up into the sun, bubbles going up.
Pianoteq C model piano as usual, with "close" mic setting.

Re: piano adlib for yoga / relaxation
Very nice. I have fond memories of sitting at my Grandmother's upright piano with the sustain pedal-to-the-metal and improvising in this vein.
This recording is begging to be chopped up and fed to my MPC. Hmmm...

PTeq Pro is so nice.
Did you recently get an email from them.....?
If not, you should definately offer your services as you'll be rather surprised...
Very Cool KS.
I was thinking of the same thing about the underwater scuba thing.
Some occasional Pings like a Subs Sonar would further give the illusion of underwater...

Perhaps it is a matter of test, but the kind of sounds you have chosen for relaxation is not really good for it. Nothing to say about the song itself, I think it is beautiful. I would like to hear it through a much softer piano, with darker tones.
