Hi, i recently hooked this fantasitic sounding synth to cubase 5 using Hubi's loopback device, there is a problem with latency however, even on playback (with my VSTi's there is some latency while playing the synth but not during playback)

does anyone have any tips or settings for my pulsar so i can lower the latency to useable levels?

Hi,

1. Try to ask questions in Problem solving forum next time, please.
2. You didn't mention what ULLI settings you have. If you have 25ms then you will obviously get some latency. Try to set the setting to any lower value: in SFP's menu Settings->ULLI.

And Hubi is always to be avoided if possible use CW's Seq Source and Dest's

now i remember why i didn't use the creamware outputs for Vaz, they don't work!

i have creamware 1 selected as the Midi port in Vaz,and i have the midi channels correctly assigned etc...but i get a 'no midi input port' error in vaz when i select the creamware output, Hubi's output works fine only there's quite a bit of latency, even when using the ULLI settings.

in my project window, i have my Sequencer out connected directly to my Midi destination A.

is there something i'm doing wring with my set-up?

cheers

VAZ can work fine (and other Virtual instruments and MIDI software) by using the "seq In and out" modules.
so :
-MIDI input A connect to SEQ out 1 (wich become cubase MIDI IN)
-SEQ in 1 (cubase Out1) to SEQ out 2 (VAZ in).
Now VAZ can be use like a VSTi, by selecting LUNA out 1.

If you use LUNA MIDI OUT, you can connect SEQ IN 2 (cubase out 2)to the MIDI OUT port...
WARNING : You must desactive Luna MIDI Input 2 in Cubase.
I hope you understand my bad english (french guy)

I believe you just drag another SEQ DEST. to the project and it automaticcaly becomes SEQ DEST 2.
