Scope NSA Offer 2: All Zarg synths (Solaris, Quantum Wave..)
So well this is a surprise... If anyone @ S|C is reading, I would gladly pay x4 if these devices were Xite-1 optimized (ie. can run with more than 2-3 voices).

Re: Scope NSA Offer 2: All Zarg synths (Solaris, Quantum Wav
Oh yes, would someone please share their experiences with running these plug-ins on Xite?
This price is ... very low!

[immanual, I just was posting the same question, so I'll cut that out and just add my experience!!!]
I know that John had released a few updates for 64bit systems to work, and that's on the S|C FTP site.
Device : Status
------------
Pro-One: 100% (but haven't tested the sequencer yet, I'll make it less if it doesn't work) (got it in the last NSA)
I am interested in these, particularly the RD Drums, but also the Solaris for sound design. Yet another killer deal.

Of course, my initial post might have seemed like some kind of rant, but I'm really grateful to finally be able to play a Waldorf Wave (virtual) at least once in my life!
(ordered of course)
Of course I am serious however of offering my €€€ and/or beta testing, bug tracking services if they are willing to crowdfund a big Xite migration project for some of the legacy plugins.

Re: Scope NSA Offer 2: All Zarg synths (Solaris, Quantum Wav
i tried to update my solaris to v5 without response from Jhon Bowen and this is a good chance
I know that solaris sequencer doesn't work on xite, but all the rest is fine.
Can't miss this offer.

Re: Scope NSA Offer 2: All Zarg synths (Solaris, Quantum Wav
its not quite a waldorf wave as it does not have user wavetables or the resynthesis
and it does not suffer from the bad lfo which is very steppy the wavetables are glitchy also and you can hear the stepiness of the sweeps like on t he ppg
but the quantum wave does not have the clangerous bottom end like the wave or the ppg
but it also does not suffer from shocks that break and you have to prop up the bloody thing and it does not way a ton or have cem chips that are rare as hens teeth if they fail and i have had a couple fail over the years
and the hefty price tag of £5000 new in 1996 but even dearer as they fetch £8000-12000 a friend of mine was selling his on the bay recently for a start price of £9000
but i do love the sound of it and how i perfected making scannable wavetables
but johns solaris thats the one thats special

Wow, that's a sick deal ! Too bad I have all them, except for the pro-one synth. Hope I could buy this device alone for a special price

Re: Scope NSA Offer 2: All Zarg synths (Solaris, Quantum Wav
how unique are these compared to other synths on the platform and modular?
is there a staple "johnbowen" sound to these synths or are they basically a nice routing/gui of modular modules?
in either case its a more than amazing deal, just kinda wondering as i have never owned any bowen synth.

pretty unique, but you can get a demo for any one of them at a time, so there's no need to guess...
Re: Scope NSA Offer 2: All Zarg synths (Solaris, Quantum Wav

I was wondering about those. Cool.ShogunSpy wrote:Note you also get the RD modules!
I was also wondering why I couldn't sleep tonight, picked up my iPhone sitting in bed and saw this. Always wanted the Ambient and RD Drums, so a no-brainer sore-dick deal if ever there was one. Just hope I catch Gary with the time difference.

They stand out. I'd say that Pro One, Pro Wave, and Solaris are up there with Minimax, Pro-12, and Prodyssey as being must-haves for any Scope user. I really love Pro Wave.faxinadu wrote:how unique are these compared to other synths on the platform and modular?
There is definitely a staple "johnbowen" sound. A lot of people used to buy his synths simply to get access to his sound design. He's on the level of Eric Persing of Spectrasonics.is there a staple "johnbowen" sound to these synths or are they basically a nice routing/gui of modular modules?
It's really a no-brainer. I already own most of these synths and I'm still thinking of buying it, simply to round out my collection.in either case its a more than amazing deal, just kinda wondering as i have never owned any bowen synth.

Yay, 13 minutes for keys.
Just a quick question about installation: do we need the Vxd files? I seem to remember they are no longer needed.
