I use pulsar 1 + (xlr) and mackie sr24/4. When i try to record a signal from the mackie, the input level is very low in the pulsar (meter at 0 in the mackie and about -15 db in the pulsar).
I use balanced cables wired from balanced mackie output to balanced pulsar input.

Where is the problem ?

Many users seem to have the same problem (post on this forum) but i didn't find any solution.

Thanks.

PS : i wonder if meter "0" in the mackie = 0 db or -10 db (this could be the solution).

There's nothing wrong with your setup, you're just comparing apples & oranges.
(In your example -15 dBfS = 0 dBVU)
All digital recording devices have a certain amount of headroom in relation to the analog input.
The A16Ultra has 20dB's of headroom, so 15-16dB's on a Pulsar Plus sounds about right.
Just push the signal from the mixer up; Analog is, unlike digital, designed to handle it... The SR-24 can output up to +22dB on the sub-outs, and up to +28dB on the main mix output...

Kim.

sounds like the a16 is set for +4db operation.(the mackie is -10db) it's o.k. as kimgr suggested.(i think there is a switch on the a16)
