Hi Can anybody help.

I have windows XP amd 2 CD rom drives.
I have the Pulsar 24 I/O adat card running the 3.1a platform.

Auto insert is disabled in System config.
However whenever I put a CD into either drive Pulsar freezes and I have to do 'end Task' and relaunch.

I have no idea why this is happening Any ideas?

I had another look at this and right now my system also does the same on cd insert..

but yes they system does freeze for about 10 seconds depending on how much data is on the cd but this also happens in general windows.

when it freezes try leaving it for a minute or more to see if pulsar comes back. ?

Yes - and this depends on your CD player and the type of media you're feeding it - certain cheaper CDROMs reading certain types of burned CDs sometimes have an even LONGER wait time... my Pioneer DVDROM reads most my CDs/CDRs pretty quickly though.

Usually installing the ASPI Layer for XP/2000 will fix the problem...
