Nice Hardware setup, I see no SC Synths. cant you do the same only with cubase and a cheap soundcard?

Sure, but it would sound like somebody hung their clothes over my speakers.
I’m phasing out the 2 best sounding Native Synths too.
Scope synths are ancient but still sound as good as Natives best.
They just lack versatility, no looping EGs, wimpy portamento, etc.

Software synths sound great in recordings, but in live performance venues next to Drums, Bass & Guitar, those Dogs won’t hunt.
For years they worked with samples really well. But started doing Classic Rock and had to have that punch.
Just a 4U Rack and 2 modules.
Use to be much bigger, now it’s compact and fierce. Easy to haul around.
One thing is certain, Scope as a real-time FX, mixer and MIDI Solution is incredible.

Are you using the internal leslie sim on the HX-3 or an external rotary?

Internal, it’s nice, especially low drive settings.
Also have a Neo Ventilator but that goes on my new hardware sampler Rack.
Dexibell SX7.
I’ll post back tomorrow in the OT thread if it’s as fierce as the demos I’ve heard.
The Leslie emu on that sucked in the video.
But the actual tonewheels are powerful. The C3 Vibrato and Drive are nice too.
The Neo Vent might make it worthy.

So I guess Lester was no match for Neo? I've got Lester-G. It's ok, had to really back off on the output level from the A16U. Didn't really consider the line/instr type of connections. Cheap organ rates a cheap pedal I guess.
The Dexibell looks cool, i'll have to scour for vids. Strange, the usb connection on the front. I've only seen those type on cameras.
Might be hard to find off the shelf but hey, you can find anything on Amazon.

That´s still a normal connector.
The machine is class compliant, so you take a standard USB A>B cable and directly plug in from any keyboard controller into the module w/o the need of a computer.
When you don´t, you use the connection for USB storage devices backing up your sounds.
On the back, there´s the USB-A connector to go into a computer,- and it also carries audio, not MIDI only.

Yesterday I managed listening to the sounds demos for the extra sounds available for download in the website,- and they all sounded good except one of the "polysynth" patches.
No new electric pianos though ...

Can´t wait for Jimmy´s review.
I´m highly interested in that module myself.

Yeah disregard, the pic I was looking at made it look sort of like the old mini firewire connection so I guess that is just a normal USB connection.

Well that S7 might just be my next piano, really nicely designed and decently priced too. (S9 is even nicer too )

Boot system followed by load at least 1.5GB factory sample library,- I guess.
New OS v4.05 expanded sample memory up to 3GB,- so maybe it´s what needs 50 seconds now.

I’m just a Whiney bitch because I used the real stuff.

Guitarist I gig with in a Jazz Group uses a Ventilator and it sounds good, but the usual excessive FX from other Pedals weakens it’s doppler effect.
Guy has a 1961 ES 335 that looks just like Alvin Lee’s guitar.
Plays his ass off too.

Interesting. just curious if you looked at the Lester-G. It has an acceleration knob but I use an expression pedal with it which I really like although not traditional organ method I guess. It's only mono input, which prob means it was designed for guitar but my old organ is mono out anyway. The drive part is not very impressive and I have had better success with a plain old overdrive box. Well that HX-3 of yours probably doesn't need much help anyway.

It’s incredible fun. The Deco is set so I just need to step on B Button and hold it for incredibly realistic Tape Flange.
That really gets freaky with ICE Patches in Strymon.
I tune the patches to freeze pitches at an octave + a 5th and it’s a giant Bucket Brigade Delay with Eventide quality pitch shift and Tape Flange,

Well that was what I figured even though I didn't put the G/K together until you just smacked me in the face with it LOL!
I've got a small collection of cheap guitar pedals hooked into a patchbay to-from my A16U with external effect modules saved in Scope that way I can try different combos +use them in inserts. And yup, had to back off the volume to most of the boxes because of the instr level inputs.
The CODE 8 +Strymon DECO combo sounds awesome. Would love to hear that sometime and thanks for posting your gear list. I think it's healthy to always have something to drool over

I’m prepping it with pedals now.
Bought a Radial Key Largo Mixer.
HX-3, and Code 8 w/ Pedals get inserted in 2 x Stereo pairs.

Then the SE-02 into Scope XITE-1 with ASIO x 32.
XITE-1 Outs into another stereo channel on mixer.
Radial mixer outs into Fireworx then RCF or QSC 8s depending on the gig.
