If don't like the Houston, the Mackie control now supports several DAW:s.

The only thing I envied Logic users: that wonderful control.

I was in for a SAC 2K but now...
I hope they include SFP support for mackie control soon.

Seems like apple buying emagic forced mackie to go for a bigger market...

Well, i would'nt say he is the father of MacOS.

That would be Steve Jobs or Wozniac.
He is more like the evil stepdad.

at $1,299, what are the plus compared to a Houston?

Better faders, better display( fx SMPTE), more buttons, better look, expandability, support for different DAW8 not just "cubase only" but probably sfp, almost same price.
