Bitrate Pulsar3.01c and SX

I work with Pulsar1, Elektra and Cubase SX.
I'm a bit confused about Asio-Drivers and Bit-rate. Since Pulsar1 can only manage 16 and 24 Bit, it wouldn't make sence to use 32-Bit in Cubase, right!? So, which ASIO-Driver am I supposed to use in my Pulsar-Projekt. What about these ....64-Drivers? Do I need Asio2? Can my crackles on recording (even MIDI) have to do with wrong Asio/Bitrate?

Please help...

I also work with Pulsar I and the Audiobahn A16 Mark 1 (20bit).
Nevertheless I always use 32float in Cubase SX because I like the TrueTape sound and digital clipping doesn't bother me anymore.

Yes, there are a lot of audio data redundant but for me I like the headroom and TrueTape sounds good.
