Pulsar II and windows11

Post by Matti »

HI, I´m used fine Pulsar II card installed in old PCI slot with SONIC SCOPE v.7 in my Dell Precision 3600 (Intel Xeon ES-1620 v2 c3.70 GHz) win10 PC. This PC can`t upgrade to win11 because it`s to old to do this.. So now i´m must acquire the new win11 PC (Dell Precision T3630 Core i 7 3.2 Ghz). There is also one old PCI slot. After installation the new PC recognize not the Pulsar II card?
I´m thinking if Pulsar works with win11 machine at all? :-?

There´s no need for Win11 on a DAW machine (running SCOPE)

Might be an incorrect voltage, power supply may not supply the right voltage to the PCI slot, even if the PCI slot is keyed for it.

Win11 with v7 should work fine.
Do you have any other cards connected ?
I have always built my comps by myself, so first thing was powerful power supply (modular) ...etc.
Try just with PulsarII card and maybe just one ram module, if you have more than one installed and just graphic (card or onboard ? ).

Yea, Win10 stays on my main audio workstation, LTSC version, otherwise, there was 1 year free to extend Win10 from Microsoft, so there was little more time to wait :)
