Hi, Yahoo, i switched over to logic, i think this program is much better then cubase, it has a lot more pro-status then cubase. It's (don't mind the clihe) Logical, Especially the routing options, there are clear like a glass of water. I'm only experiencing the following problem, i get these errormessages,

"Error while trying to synchronize audio to midi sample rate 45309 recognized"

Can somebody tell me how to get rid of these messages.

TIA

Change your sample rate in Logic to 44.1khz and in Pulsar to 44.1khz.

yep, me too - switched over to LAP at 4.61. i used cubase for years and years - in fact i just found cubase 1.1 in a box the other night, which fit onto like 2 floppies

with 4.7, LAP is way better (4.61 had some bad bugs). Logic takes some getting used to, and is way more complex than cubase, but with that complexity comes a much richer feature set. it's worth the time investment.

just keep your manuals handy

Logic ROCKS !

Hey Hey ;-)

Hey John (Cooper that is), I've a question for you, i've read your pages about using two creamware card together, and followed instructions, but I always get an 'Communication error with board(0)', do you have any idea of what's going on?

My Setup:

Asus CUSL2-C
P3 1000
384meg PC-100 certifyed

Luna in slot 1
Pulsar 1+ in slot 5
both are IRQ5 and sharing

WinME freshly formatted
Matrox G400 AGP (not in dualhead mode)

all the setting in the manual under troubleshooting is done (vcache, write behind disable, etc...) even removed totally the PCHealth thing.

My tower case is opened both side, no other cards at all. An still having this 'Communication error' repeatedly.

I'm desperate! Can you thing something i've overlooked?

Thanks anyway, to all of you here, it a great source of information.

Hi again something about Logic,
Many people say that Logic has a high learning curve, these rumours actually stopped me from using Logic, but you never know which knowledge you have if you don't use it, so i tried logic, and it is not so hard.
At the moment i don't get these midi errors anymore, but those Asio overload errors are now the problem, i get these only when i start an other program in windows, i think it has something to do with my harddisk, it is a very old one (seagate 3,2 GB) next week i will buy a brand new maxtor (7200 rpm) will this solve my problem ???

configuration :
Pulsar 1
Pentium II 300 (will be upgraded about a few months, probably pentium III 800)
Motherboard (I'm thinking about buying a CUSL)
256 MB RAM

Thanx

I've seen untweaked VIA based motherboards give PCI Overflows and ASIO errors with just the ASIO drivers loaded! Once you build your machine you might want to then <a href=http://planetz.ghostwheel.com/phpBB/vie ... =3&4>tweak it for audio...

well, first of all, make sure that both cards are seated correctly. Pull them out, and then push them back in, carefully, firmly.

Next, make sure the TDM-bus cable is correctly and firmly seated onto the top edge connectors of the two cards.

Next, make sure that both cards are installed and initialized ok (check the windows device manager, and make sure you have both Pulsar and Luna listed, and operating correctly).

If Pulsar still won't start then I'm afraid the best advice is to reinstall Pulsar. There are some entries in the cset.ini file related to multiple cards which must not be set correctly. A clean reinstall (delete the old Pulsar directory first), should get you working.

If not, then contact Paul Tanti at Creamware support/Canada, support@creamware.com.

Hope this helps,

Thanks John, I really did my home work on this, did check the manual of pulsar and luna2, the pulsar and luna software are working well (except that communication error) They start, can even use devices from both cards. I also changed boardid number to try invert detection scheme, did not work either. Also tryed to deleted the [STDM] section to redetect connection as it is said in manual, didn't work.

So I guess i'll write to Paul!

Thanks alot anyway. If you think of something else, let me know! If i found the solution, i'll post it here for sure...

see here for Emagic's email reply to the "asio overload" question.

a faster hard disk will certainly help.

sheesh, i get an asio overload every time i click on the win98 start button. like that's so system intensive to pop up the start menu that it brings logic to its knees. lame lame lame.
