Yes just noticed that. Ive reinstalled 3.1c with the new keys and it has installed the new modules. But there are not the patches. Strange.
I am not able to download from the site but it is only a 1k installer file that seems to do nothing. Even more strange
Modular 3 out!
The M3 patches are a seperate download. get them here:

Well this is about as uncharitable as I could think to get.
That Remote control panel idea does not mean the modular is now skinnable. It is still as unskinnable as ever for synth patch programmers.
What it has given is an opportunity to collect some of the key performance-type parameters like filter cutoffs etc. into a neat panel. With only a maximum of 16 controls possible it can't really be any more than this.
It's still a good idea...just not quite the "create your own GUI" like Reaktor etc. has.
That's me struggling to be negative. Otherwise it looks like another exciting update.

Well, yeah, have to agree. While it's a good step, 16 parameters is almost useless. Let's say you have two ADSR envelopes, a VCF, resonance, tracking and env controls: you're already at 12 knobs
. Just four left to assign to LFOs, FX, and whatever it is that you've built that makes it more than a plain-jane device.
How many of the really good ModV2 patches could be squeezed into 16 knobs ? And if they can be, then the chances are that it's a very simple patch which wouldn't need a skin anyway !
Must second what someone else posted: looks like Mod2.5. A real shame that many of the older modules (such as the Seq modules) weren't given an update - even just some ergonomic improvements...
It's just not worth the $ for my taste

another BIG problem with the remote surface... other than 16 being too few... (I can live with it) you can't delete the knobs not being used, and that you can't assign a frickin' RANGE for the knobs. Heck, doing knobs by MIDI is still better. But oh well, I can live with it.
They also should have done what they did in ModII... let non-registered users use un-editable patches. Otherwise, word won't get around.. sales won't increase.

I read about this on the other forum, but this never happened. It was never possible to open 'read-only' versions of the MII patches without a licensed copy of MII.
The compatibility issue is a real pain, but I don't really see how else CW could have done it, once they decided MIII was going to be a paid upgrade.

PS Your '73 patch is AWESOME !
