hello dear pulsarians,

i found here on the beloved planetz a topic concerning vst plugs where a link to the synthedit.com page was mentioned...i got curious, and after some days i made my first plugin. it's a sort of gain maximizer, i tested it on some drums recorded in a semi-pro studio by a friend and it surprised me a lot!
well, the graphics are those by the software, the look is really poor, it has three sliders and a knob, but it's very aggressive and warm!

this is the link to download the zip, i hope you test it and let me know, as i am a bit excited!

i know you will be sincere, don't worry about it, i' don't have expectations, i'm just curious!

ciao.

****this is the update!
optimized, smoother values, attack knob removed (it was useles for the purpose of the plug, and the compression works in a different way)

p.s. sorry, but for pc only.

....as you can see now i've put back Dyno1

I'm sorry I can't test it as a Mac user but I obviously will provide the link to my elder brother who is a hobby musician, too (on a PC + Audiophile card)

I´ve tested the dyno with Spirit´s first modular drum patch, and what should I say, you have created a tiny little horror booster, I thought my monitors will jump of my desk.
I use cubase5.1/32 r2 pb1 in 32bit on 44,1kHz, everything works fine.
Yes, I will use the dyno much in the future, it is a kind of TrueTape for me but I can use it on the Cubase Tracks not only the incoming external tracks, thank you.

He's even made a multi-band version, with a very nice GUI this time.

Hey alfonso I hope you don't forget the modular

Once again, Alfonso, I worked with your Dyno1 for the last weeks now, in the new Starchaser Track from Neil and me.
I used the dyno on drums and other tracks, it works very well. You can hear the rusult at Christmas, when PlanetZ will fly through the Rings of Saturn, thank you for the Dyno, man!

As I said before I gave the Dyno link to my elder brother who is a hobby composer (yet very good amateur drummer!!!!!!) and here is what he replied to me (we live in distant places - about 500km):

Bardzo fajne:
1. Zabieraja malo zasobów Kjubejza (wskaznik prawie sie nie ruszyl).
2. Rzeczywiscie dodaja kopa perkusji - chyba bede ich naduzywal (Megatone
daje wieksza kontrole nad spektrum czestotliwosci - tzn. oddzielnie mozna
zmieniac parametry dla róznych zakresów czestotliwosci).

Jednym slowem: SUPER.

[translation]
Very cool:
1. light on cubase load (the meter hardly moved).
2. indeed it adds a kick to drums - probably I'll overuse it (Megatone gives you more control on the frequency spectrum - i.e. you can adjust parameters to different frequency zones)

To cut a long story short: SUPERB.
