So maybe I'll add to the new year's mood, and look back at what's been going on in the past year.
The biggest event of the year, has to be the release of SFP.. was all the way back in May-July area I think. RIGHT in the middle of my finland production. but heck, I installed it anyway, and before I knew it, I had produced the entire finland suite on SFP.
That's right, the biggest event on my side of life was the preparation of the performance in finland. all the way from January to the end of August. Shew! That's more than half of this year!
Another big event was the banning of DXL. The whole commotion went from April to August.. bad vibes, big discussion, but a tough call nonetheless. I wonder what that guy's up to.
We got a bunch of new forums, not to mension a bunch of new users. I think PlanetZ, and the whole Pulsar user base went through a MAJOR growing phase this year. Users went from hundreds into the thousands.. and will probably grow some more because of CW's special offers.
We also had 2 collaboration projects, one from Nestor, and the other from legros. While both went in slightly different directions, I think both experiments succeeded in fueling the creative minds of many. We should do something like this more often. And just have fun.
On a slightly more current note, we had 2 contests in a row. That's the first something like that's happened. Last year's Christmas contest was FOR the mod2, while this year's is USING the modular. Thought that was kind of cool. I'm very eager to listen to all the January tunes.
The most anticipated event, was surely the introduction of Mod III. I remember Spirit was really fed up with the lack of development for Mod2, and the defects of Mod2.. Well, ModIII turned out much better than is cousin thank god. Still some more CW could work on though. hehe. Maybe ModIV next year?
543 tunes posted in the music forum (126 for year 2001), and 96 mod patches posted (over 100 last year). Man we are a creative bunch here. The loads of tunes posted this year are more crazier, snappier, and more schmappier than ever before.
So I think that pretty much rounds it up for year 2002. PlanetZ is growing people! It's getting HUGE. Which only goes to prove what a great place this is for newbies, and old timers alike. Some people even stay 'till they start breathing FIRE! (at0mic and subhuman does that stuff)
Anyway, let's keep this place an awesome place. Keep the PlanetZ attitude in sharing knowledge, being all-round cool guys, being eager to learn, and then going mega OT in the OT forum.
It's been a great year with you all, and will be looking for more next year! A thousand pats on the back for John, who always finds time to keep this place in shape!
Happy New Year people! Now go P-A-R-T-Y!!!!!

Yea Ken, it has been a very positive year, I feel too.
Thanks for the nice words making us remembering some of the events we went through…
I have learned so much this year thanks to you all… all that has become really useful in the practical world of recording and producing.
I’m relatively happy cos I have recorded several albums and produced them myself; even if they have been copied to just a couple of hundreds copies every time, or even less than that like the last one, being at just 150 copies. I have released, retrospectively, a symphony, a Trance-Fusion album and two meditation albums through 2002. Then I have produced music for some events, web background music, commercials, jingles and that.
Right now I’m getting into Multimedia and it’s a fantastic world.
Hope to see many good things happening in 2003 coming from us all, as well as from Creamware.
Have a truly wonderful new year!!!

*MUSIC* The most Powerful Language in the world! *INDEED*
And also reflect a moment on some of the other not-so-good audio events: The demise of Logic for PC; the sale of Steinberg; the end of Nord modular; and the imminent sale of Sonic Foundry apps.
Meanwhile, Creamware seems to be getting stronger. SFP was a great improvement and the amount of whining on the CW board about technical problems has dramatically decreased. I think stability problems have been largely solved by SFP.
Mod-III was a good release but not yet stacked with the features that make it a serious reason - by itself - to invest in the CW platorm.
Minimax and Vinco got even better reviews.
Third-party activity remained weak, but perhaps not so necessary as the platform is quite mature.
Planet-Z remains the most civilised and friendly forum I know, and the Creamware platfom is looking stronger than ever.
Happy New Year to all.

Happy New Year everyone!! Wishing you all peace, love and prosperity in 2003!
For me, this past year was especially noteworthy as I decided to go full-time with my humble home-based recording studio. Of course, my studio is based around Creamware products!
I haven't looked back. I'm thankful to be able to make my living doing something I absolutely love as opposed to something that just pays the bills. I haven't has to wear a necktie in over a year
I wake up in the morning and my biggest decision is whether to wear slippers or go barefoot
I get to listen to music all day long!
On occasion, I'll check the clock and realize it's 12PM somewhere in the world so it's OK to grab a brewski out of the fridge
Take care, y'all! Have a great evening! Talk to you all again next year!

Kudos to John and the Mod crowd. Seems years ago when I purchased my Pulsar I and Luna II...but they're "still my babies" improved upon by upgrades propack/moog purchases. Does just fine with my Sonar II, SoundForge 6 and Acid 4. Cheers to all at Creamware, especially Ingo...to all you experts that make coming to this site a special event. 2002 is the year I finished up on accumulating hardware, which I'm totally satisfied with, in league with Creamware et al.
PA-80, Triton, Karma, CS6X, XV5080, M1+, Ensoniq EPS+....Akai S5000...Berringer 9024...two Fostex digital mixers...
make my life so happy and music production (to my liking), like falling off a log. There's nothing for me like a live session with a least a half dozen tracks tweaked and uploaded to MP3.com. Almost 25,000 plays derived from my home "playroom". It's fun...and will continue to be fun as I approach my 69th on Feb 22nd. The Best To All!!

One more big change might have happened to PlanetZ. Subhuman has been gone for quite a while now
I remember, when he had 9% of all posts.
Personally my Creamware year has been so good. In a few weeks my Pulsar1 will have it's 3rd years birthday, but it wasn't before this year, that I got it to work. I bought a TUSL2-C and a Celatin 1000, and that made the trick. Then I bought the pro-pack. Then I bought my Scope DSP. Finally I bought the Transient Designer.
Apple buying Logic was so great. I am very sorry for those, who suffered from this, but Logic never was my thing. Instead it lead me to Samplitude, wich shure IS my thing.
I started my study of Music Therapy at the University of Ålborg. I have been very bussy with that, and my Creamware gear has mainly been a digital in for transfering my DAT recordings of my lessons to hard disk. On the other hand, I might get a little work once in a while cleaning some old recordings for the University
Also just the fact, that I have these things, and that they actually work is a great thing to me - even when they are not used too much.
A last thing, that happened at PlanetZ was, that John now accepts donations to keep the forum going. That is fine with me. This forum has been more important to me than any Pro-Pack or Transient Designer. Because without this forum, I wouldn't have any use of those things. Thanks John for keeping this going. I will drop by Kaggi once again within soon. And thanks to all the rest of you too. You are a great bunch of people, and I am both happy and proud to be part of this community. Happy New Year

Oh, and talking about people ... Mo/Pearl going native was an event too.
I hope he and Subhuman are well and will have a happy new year too.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE. Thanks for the support given throughout the past year. Looking forward for it to continue
With the way this PLANETZ is heading it's just a matter of TIME before some MORE members makes a MAJOR breakthrough musically in their respective countries and INTERNATIONALLY with PULSAR SOUNDS
I am good at PREDICTING.
