I must thank Ken, Algo and Agent, your comments to my first try inspired me to dig deeper:

Ken, I took your words and chord stuff as a felt need for a musical connection between the melodic samples I used, so (beside some extra chords) I made a groovy dark keys thing, a bit like the typical ridm organ in reggea, shuffling through the beats.
Thanks for pointing me to that missing link

Algo and Agent, you were right, there was room enough for ridm fills and stuff, so I gave the Phatmatic lotsa extra work to do, you can hear it already in the intro, and elsewhere.

Also I mixed the used samples more to the back, to bring in more groove and rest, and I shortened the song with a half minute to give it a bit more push forward.

Still I want a voice sample in it, but I didn't find what I was looking for.

I hope you like what I've done, anyway it took me further!

greetz

I haven't heard the previous mix but this one I like very much (I'm very keen on delays used such way you did and I love the piano mixed together with synths)!

I have to burn a cd with it and listen to to your song driving at night!!!

Dub feeling. Good vibe

Cool, love the way you build the rhythm and the atmosphere too.

The piano when it first sounds it’s a bit like out of the context for me, it’s the room ambience what I don’t like not the piano itself, neither the delay.

Cymbals are superb!

Nice chilling song.

A really excellent, solid track Hubird.
I liked it a lot.
BTW - how are the injuries now?

thanks all of you!
Nestor, the room ambience of the piano sample is part of the sample (as are the delays), so it could not be changed.
But I agree with you that the sample is coming in a bit rough, it's the only thing I would have liked to change, but I let this go. You got it
Neil, since a few days my gips has removed, now I have to exercise for walking normal, which will take another 6 weeks as the docter said.
But it was easier with than without gips to walk!
It's hard to bend the ankle now...
The bone is allright, now we go for the flesh
12 f***ing weeks due to ONE faulty step

I sympathise with you. When I broke my foot (pushed by big toe into my foot - ouch) - they said that they couldn't treat it and it would be alright in 5-6 weeks. Six months later and I had to by a car with an automatic gearbox because I still could not press the cluthc pedal. Why is it that hospital staff are so optimistic?
BTW my injuries from the bike crash are okay now but I've got a bike with £530 damage, had to buy a new one (£800) and it looks as if I'm not going to be able to get any money off the car driver. The law is different in the UK for cyclists compared to some of the countries in Europe that are not attached to us  My only option is to take him to court and risk losing even more money. The law is an ass!!!!
Anyway, sorry - this is a thread for your track. I digress too much.

Hi Hubird
Very nice improvements, this definitely has more impact and feel. I can picture this song in a Bond film.
The piano is fine with me, no need to change it.
cheers Mark
