The subject was to remix their actual single release and I joined the contest and won it (actually there were 2 first places)!!!!!!!!! I'm very happy with it and want to share it with you. I used SFP synths in it, of course: Comb Plus by Zarg (an old, freeware version of it - I belive it's freeware!!!), Three-o-three by Orbitone, Celmo's Goofy2, Grenzfrequenz's Synchrotron (you may recognize the arpeggio part - it's sligthly changed from a preset one) ,SFP DynamicMixer and some fx. The outboard gear was my good'n old Yamaha A3k and the distorted glides come from Korg EA1. All was sequenced in cubase, loops were prepared in ProTools free

cool.. dunno the original tune so I'm not sure what exactly you did to it, but it sound cool. It's got that "matrix" feel to it. guitars and breakbeats.

Thanks, Kensuguro! Guitars, sfx (besides the dist. glides) and scratches are original, voice - too (but processed by me). The original tune sounded something like Skinny Puppy or a bit of Nine Inch Nails (more guitarish than electronic). So my part is all the electronic stuff, loops, guitar sampling and transposing (but from the original)and the whole new arrangement.

It's interesting how just a track of glides can change the texture of the tune. It seems to carry on its back the entire history of recent electronica. lol.

yes, wojtek, this really is a super track! not my style, but the song is an absolute pro creation.

very well done. i don't know the original, but i hope for the band that it's excellent as well, because otherwise it would be rather embarassing for them

I'd say 'Chemical Beats'.
A friend of mine also liked it a lot yesterday, Sam.
You got his respect.

Thanks for your kind reviews  I found a fragment of the original Sweet Noise's "Nie bylo". It requires Windows Media Player or equivalent to play: http://www.merlin.com.pl/WMA/7/6/5414810-U05.wma

Strange as it works great both on IE and Netscape. Have you got a copy of Windows Media Player?

Does anybody else have this problem? I tried to reach the linked site from different places (different ISPs and different forms of connection - T1 & a modem) without any trouble...
