anybody knows what's about synchrotron update?
i have 1.0?
synchrotron update?
Hi sandrob,
I saw an announcment on the CW a few months ago about the next update. It said free for existing users and 99Euro new. I waited a few weeks (thinking it was about to happen) then emailed them.
They said they were busy doing their next album and that they would not release version 2 until they were 100% happy. fair enough.
But that was a few months ago. So I emailed them again two days ago and am waiting for a reply (they always reply
)
Will let you know.....
ps: the Synchrotron is one of my favourite devices so I'm very keen to see what version 2 brings

There actually is a big problem with the Synchrotron Update: When we came close to release it SFP was coming up. Many things changed from the old pulsar/scope to SFP: The surface handling is completely different and many sound algorithms were not up-to-date any more.
We decided not to release an update that's not up-to-date! So this project was freezed again.
There's the same problem with our drum machine: We spend much (very much!!!) time to develope it but are not satisfied yet.

I don't know whether this was coincidence or not, but you are reply to a message that is exactly one year old.
All good things take time, and I know you are doing many other things (like playing music!), but by the time this update happens we'll all be using Holo-Enhanced Think-Cones.
For an artist no book, no music, no production, is ever really finished to 100% satisfaction.
So let's have the "OK" version.

And I know that nothing is perfect. But every moment you're waiting for this update I feel more and more frightened about what the Synchrotron Users might expect.
Now I have my head free from the Grenzfrequenz album so there's more time for SFP development. With the release of our new device there will be a *tiny* !!! Synchrotron update (without new dsp features). Please note that more features might mean more DSP load so there's much work left to handle this (some Synchrotron Users only have 3 DSPs).
