Hi!
I sadly just lost a beautiful take of a friend with 2 tracks due to pops, crackles and jitters etc. Monitoring the take through SFP outs, there were no pops or anything. It is only on playback of Cubase SX that they appeared.
I have a dual boot XP system that was working perfectly, able to record 6-8 simultaneous tracks of audio without any problems. Any idea what could shred my sonics like that?
Is it safe to assume the problem is with Cubase SX and not with SFp since the SFP signal sounds clear? (I run from the busses on the 24/48 into ASIO2 dest to SX...)
thanks,

CPU is 20% and less in SX. At the latency SFP defaults to (I'm booted into other OS, so can't see right now) I seem to only be able to record 2 tracks at once, or one stereo without any glitches. I'll try bumping the latency up to see if I can record a few more tracks at once. The weird thing is that I used to be able to record 6 or 8 at once without any crackles. Who knows what I did to screw things up...
