free some DSP power

i discovered that turning into "mono" the unused channels of my 1632 mixer and turning into "external" the unused aux busses frees some DSP power...

nice to know, matti. didn't know that.

another one, which most of the older users will already know:

set the number of voices of a synth to zero to free up DSP power. this is especially handy if you're already pushing against your DSP limit, and want to try out other things, without deleting another device.

...Is it just a Pulsar I or has anyone notice that putting voices to 0 still uses small amounts of DSP?

It will still use dsp, even when set to 0 voices. Check out the DSP Usage forums to understand why...

Thanks Bosone - that's really helpful - I always seem to be close to the edge on DSP limits.
