This new effect, supplied in Stereo and Mono versions, give you access to a powerful analog-style filter unit with a complete range of modulations.
With the 2 LFO BPM-Based, Envelope follower section and the “weird” TimeFX especially created for this new device, the D-Filter can bring a new life for many different sounds from basslines to vocals.
Thanks to the DSP used with the Creamware boards, the plug-in can be used Live, for example to process signals from synthesizers or external samplers through the audio inputs of the card.
8 different filter types (from classical 24dB/oct LowPass to Reject or Formant filter) can be chosen, to help you during your sonic manipulations !

The special “Boost” switch on the effect activates the HuiMAX compression and clipping algorithm useful to optimize the output level of the filter. This algorithm was already used into the D-Comp, the highly-acclaimed free compressor plug-in from D-Mute.

The D-Filter is also compatible with the XTC Mode, making possible a complete tweaking of the filter inside your favorite VST-compatible sequencer !

Some highlights :
8 different filter type from 24db Lowpass to Formant filter.
2 LFO (BPM or free) for modulation of the Cutoff and other parameters.
LFO frequency up to audio-range for Ring-Modulator or “nasty” effects !
Envelope Follower assigned to Cutoff and/or Resonance
TimeFX for chorusing effects and pitch modulation.
Post-Filter section : Gives more power for shaping the sound.
3 different Action : Normal, Trigger via Midi, Trigger from input level
2 inserts slots for loading more effects.
Full Midi automation to use it with a Remote Controller or from a sequencer.
Live use

The Demo version features only the Mono version of the Device. Also XTC mode are not fully supported on the current demo version.

This sounds LOVELY ! Took me, well, not very long at all to work out where everything was and what it all did, but there are lots of nice possibilities there. Does the real thing come in BOTH mono and stereo ? or just stereo. It would be quite nice to have the choice, thats all (only six chips here !)

Cheers D-Mute !

p.s. just seen the answer to my question . . . who's unobservant then, eh ?

I just got the D-Filter, and i must say it is so frigin coOl!

The interface is really nice to work with, look totally pro.

And features? It full of it! I love the formant and reject filters. They sound great, really.

The sound? very good, maybe not the '24db physicaly modeled filters' of interpole, but with D-Filter, i don't have this volume problem i had with Interpole. You can really have the same volume with/without filter activated. And that's great. D-Filter is really useable in a mix or as and insert effect, which Interpole isn't.

D-Mute, that's a really good job done on this filter.

I LOVE IT !!!

This device adds *great* value to my native synths !

For instance, I just can't use Absynth 2 without it !!

It simply doesn't sound "native" anymore !
