gfx cards with multi monitor support
I'm planning to replace my geforce4 gfx-card with one that support multi-output,
so that I can have many monitors (I've planned to buy some TFT monitors, so I
assume that I'm only interested in cards that have multi digital outputs).
I've seen that Matrox has cards that support 3 monitors (at 1280x1024), but I wonder
if there are any cards that support more than that? (ie. more monitors or higher
resolution for the 3 monitors. I'd hoped for 1600x1280 on 3 monitors).
I visited Trilithons website today ( http://www.trilithon.nl ) and I think their 6 monitor studio
looks sooo cool. Just look at the following picture:
http://www.trilithon.nl/content/home/images/studio.jpg
As you can see on the monitor in the middle, they are using CW Scope in their studio.
(click on the link 'sound design' on the upper left, and you can see a screenshot from
their scope setup).

There are a lot of interesting pictures on that website (for example the overall picture:

Well, I don't have any "problem" with my gfx-card, it is just limited to just
_one_ monitor (I would like to see the STM2448 mixer, CubaseSX workspace, the CubaseSX mixer
and some softsynths (CW & VSTi) at the same time without flipping around the windows).
That's why I'm planning to buy a new gfx-card. But I don't know if there are any
better cards on the market than the Matrox-cards.

I think I need a gfx-card that can support at least 3 monitors, as I assume that I will have more than 2 monitors within the next few years.
If you look at the following studio (which I assume is some of yours as it is equiped with a lot of CW stuff):
http://www.d-media.dk/studio.htm
The studio looks nice with the 2 monitors, but I assume that you can't get enough of monitors.

...I just got the Matrox 650 - its dual monitor w/ option for tv out too...
I had some simple troubles with it (that i shouldn't of) and since its been humming away w/ no problems...
the only problem is i'm wishing i would of got the matrox 750 (2 monitors w/ tv out)
I highly recommend one of the 650 or 750 - Matrox cards are known to work well with creamware and audio systems

I assume I will go for the Matrox alternative, as I don't know any other card that support more than 2 monitors.
According to Matrox website , the P750 is almost twice the price of the P650 and still the P750 doesn't support triple DVI-out (only triple RGB-out according to Matrox website ).

afaik most have a vga input.you can get very large plasma monitors these days, but i didn't think that they were that cheap....
all hdtvs seem to have s/video or composite inputs so you could use a vga-video adaptor like http://www.trianglecables.com/cotovicovgad.html
