Didn't realy read it, but my guess is, somebody likes symbolism - look at the number measured from the uranium ...

We're 2000 miles from Chernobyl here and it was prohibited for several years to have cattle out and > 100 veryfied cases of Leucaemia due to fallout, let alone what happened locally - and those dudes call it neglectible casualties...
