We had the mod II competition, then the mod III one . . . well what about it ?
It would be a really good chance for people with flexor to experiment (and show off) while it would give those without it the chance to hear it properly . . .
Anyone interested ?
why not have a FLEXOR competition ?
Yup - I'm interested!
All we need is a set of rules. So why not try to define these rules.
1. Should it be both Mod II and III or only Mod II-compatible?
2. I guess that CW-effects only is standard, but non-cw audio is accepted to those who want to take advantage of the audio-manipulation-possibilities.
3. Sequencer by choise or only Mod-modules?
4. Date of deadline: 1/11 - 10/11 - what do you think?
5. Max 3-4 minute-tracks (just to give an idea of what is expected)
Please give us you feedback and ideas for more or less rules.
Cheers!

I hope the respnse is better than in the past. A ompletely different alternative would be a device-making contest with Flexor: who can make the best Flexor patch using less than (for example) 20 modules in total.
Probably get even fewer entries, but perhaps interesting and inspiring to new Fexorites ?

i too vote for a "make a flexor patch" contest, with only sound examples and not whole songs.
you should also provide, let's say, 10-15 presets for your flexor modular, in order to show the possibility of your creature!
i agree also to set a limit on the number of modules to be used (do not make a patch with 100 modules!!
)
for mod2-mod3 i have no preferces, but i would prefer mod3 (since i just bought it!!)

i'll be pleased to hear/see the results!
but am i the only one with this work flow? i flop things together, or take an existing patch add some modules to taste, do something with it... and get rid off it.
maybe it is my change over to ableton live as sequencer.
but please! go ahead! looking forward to it, but i guess my entry would be kinda... lame.

Sorry not to have been around - I've been very busy with work lately.
A patch competition sounds like it will be popular, but not having flexor, and having no chance to get it in the near future (impoverishment) I would feel a bit excluded. So what about making it a requirement that as well as building patches, a short demo of the capabilities of the patch is also a requirement on entry. I just really wanted to hear what you lucky people were using this supposed dream-machine for. . .
Will.
