... that CreamWare had a special offer, a surprise for it's "high-end" customers.
They would have given two plugins FREE for current Scope/SP owners, and five for anybody who buys a new Scope/SP now.

Immediately after waking up I rushed to CW's site. Too bad it was only a dream

Well keep on dreaming, because it might still happen...
Remember when SFP came out, and /SP owners got ALL the Creamware plugins available at the time for free ?
It was a great day for me, and one of the things that convinced me to buy my second ScopeCard

I will, thanks for encouragement

I don't remember that day, as SFP 3.1 was out already when I bought my card. But I've heard of times when Scope owners automatically got new plugins.

I hope this happens again, otherwise SFP starts to look "not-superior choice anymore"

Perhaps the next SFP-upgrade will bring what you want.......

This discussion contains the whole Creamware update policy. CW makes broadcast technology too, which is yet another level than SFP. It uses the same cards, same dsp's, same devices, but has loads more possibilities. If you want to know what's coming up for the SFP platform, check out their broadcast stuff  IMHO, it's important that their whole product range, consumer and professional, or SFP and CLAN for example, progresses equally, for all clients to feel confortable.
I believe they have a tight feedback between SFP as think tank for the broadcast stuff, and that it's just a matter of time (=progress) for the broadcast before we can also taste some of the possibilities it now offers.

A guy at Creamware had a dream, it was Franck:

I dreamed that all Pulsar users would buy two more cards each, and then would pay us 500 more dollars with a joint setter saying: Thank you Frankie!” Quite different, isn’t it?

You guys (Nestor and Gary) are not positive at all about this. I'll wait for SFP4 and maybe Noah2 and see what is situation (plugs, policies, prices, etc) then. If it doesn't change much, I'd get better use for my money somewhere else.

at0mic, more possibilities with CLAN? For example? I found it's basically a Luna or Pulsar and then some audio editing software.

not positive?about YOUR dream? nonsense!i'm just broke at the moment...

p.s. the true value in gear(imho) is when it's still good to use when it's not new anymore.my cw cards that i already have are paying dividends all the time.they give money back.the next version will,i'm sure, with or without new goodies(more goodies please!)do what all the previous sw upgrades have done, make a good product better.when the end comes, however(nothing lasts forever),i'm sure that a computer fitted with those obsolete cards will "kick ass" and still be usefull and still continue to pay the rent.

positive

I'm just being cost effective. I figure I'll get 5 hours of warm fuzzies for that dollar. (Spread over a few days) Now that works out at 20 cents per hour. Astonishing value! Gary, I've found you an angle!
