I want to use Cubase VST 5.0 with my AMT 8 midi interface, but then I have to use OMS.
However, when OMS is activated (version 2.3.8 and/or 2.3.7) Pulsar II gives constantly PCI overflows.

Under Logic 4.7. without using OMS Pulsar II runs perfect.

Can a mac user help me out ?

G4 DP 533
OS 9.1 UK
PulsarII 2.04b

Thanx in advance,

I use logic 4.7 and OMS 2.3.7, however Logic can use all the devices with it's own "OMS" driver, try that .

Strange thing about the PCI flow.

I assume u have AGP-mac?

I thought the whole point of getting eMagic Logic and an eMagic AMT8 interface was to bypass OMS for tighter timing? :???:

If it works perfectly without OMS why would you want OMS on?

Yea, I'm thinking about uninstalling OMS.
I use a Midiman 8x8 USB sportspro... shouldn't be a problem?

Disabling USB frees up the PCI bus for f.eg. reverb processing!

kim - nice thing is on the intel 815 motherboard, the onboard USB ports don't effect pci performance  but you're right, it should help on mac's and bx chipsets.
