Jem, I hope you are still here

What exactly is the problem with XP service pack 1?

I get a MIDI drivers not installed on my second Pulsar 2 card every time I open Logic, for some reason. I can do MIDI just fine. I just want to get rid of the annoying message when I start up Logic.

I think it is logic and not XP.

I heard from other users that logic loses drivers once a while.

have you tested it with other sequencers like SX/Nuendo ??

does it say Midi 2 perhaps?

if so then it has not lost it it's not loaded in your project

goto msconfig>win.ini look for the logic entry
open it up and turn the second one off

When starting Logic you need to have the exact same number of seq.midi source/destinations in your SFP project as your have in your devicemanager setup...
(Look mom no comma's.)

Hi to all,

My solution was actually very simple, I switched back to Win ME and it worked.

But I have new machine now and put back XP pro. In win.ini I enabled just logic midi 1 and 2 and in XP only for 2 midi devices. Now Logic only cannot find midi 2 device driver, but thats oke cause I did not load that one in my project.

I recently bought an USB midi interface. This works good to, logic sees all the ports of the interface and If you want creamwares hardware in out can be connected with the midi interface. This way midi never gets lost.

PS: I am very busy with some projects right now so therefore my time visiting these forums is limited (actually almost nil). So if you have questions try to email me. If I am able to help I will.

good luck.
