After to years working with SFP I tried working with XTC cause I bought myself a heavier computer.
It's great to have vinco and other stuff directly in Logic and because of the lower latency my new computer can handle I'd like to use XTC more in the future.

The only problem I've now is that I'd like to control the volume to my active speakers (directly connected to my ultra-16) in XTC with an external midi controller.
So in my XTCproject I inserted a chanel-fader between the asio1-2 out and the XTC direct monitoring thing. The fader reacts to my external midi controller but there is no sound when I load the project in XTC.

Is there anybody who tried something like this? and got it working??

you have to split your main out signal (e.g. with aux objects). route one signal to your speaker and use the other one for bouncing.

thanx for your reply.

This is the problem:
When I connect asio1-2 out to directplay to ultra 16, there's sound. (In logic I select mixerdirect out to ultra 1-2)
As soon as I insert any module (doesn't matter what) before or after the directplay module the sound coming from asio1-2 stops but there is still sound from asio3-16.
Therefore I can't put a fader after or before the directplay module to controle the volume to my speakers.
Hopes this clears things up a little bit(my story seems a bit fussy).

thanx and greetz

Sorry Jerome, but that's the way it works. (Or rather doesn't.)
It has to be asio->DirectPlay->output
That's just one item on my "what-makes-xtc-unusable" list.

Hmmm...
That's to bad I guess.
Back to old normal SFP.
It's a pity because It's really great to have vinco and other stuff directly in logic.

maybe in the future????
