Yes, it's wonderful! It really improved some of my old recordings. It tends to hype the 11khz area a bit too much though, so you should tame a little bit of that down with some EQ. But it really opens things up.

Yes - that is what search options are for. In this one, you even get to see, wich post in the thread includes the search word.

psyq without "-" gives a lot of results too.

anyway - this is not to thrash your tread - it is to broaden it.

i often used psyq together with optimaster to finalize my pieces
when i put psyq in the final insert before optimaster i tend to use it with VERY low settings: but even in this way it widens a bit the stereo image and give a "better" sound.

psyq is definitely a must for vocal tracks. I use it alot to hiss things up just a little for that "pop" sound.

This is a good exciter piece, sound well and you can add more definition to your music with it.
But as well know this type of processors it is, relatively, easy add more processing signal, pass out, be carefully and let yours ears to judge.

there exist a lot of digital fir filterz
with 0-phaze shifting.
psy-q makez sound un-natural.
use good micz, tube pre-ampz and instrumentz and u ll neednt use such devicez at all!!!

FIR eq's are 'transparent' but often unless I'm just trying to match an overall freq. plot or isolate a specific area I find I actually appreciate the color that a specific eq imparts to the source its effecting, especially if I choose one for that purpose...same goes for Psy-Q and any enhancer..

valis sad:"I'm just trying to match an overall freq. plot or isolate a specific area I find I actually appreciate the color that a specific eq imparts to the source its effecting, especially if I choose one for that purpose..."
the same u can do with fir...even more.
of course, itz more difficultly than use some enhancerz but the sound was left more naturally.in any case i preffer dont touch
color of recorded sound at all.if it needz
i use a suitable sound issuez and a suitable record devicez to get what i need.
