oh dear, i'll have to make it presentable to post it hereOn 2004-02-02 07:40, Mr Arkadin wrote:
Care to post the STS Program - i already have the samples but i'm too lazy to map them all![]()

i still consider myself a bit of a luddite as far as making proper instruments on the computer goes, but i'd like to see what i could do.
the way i've approached it so far is to convert all the samples to mono in awave, then choose 4 different level hits to layer up in sts5000 for each sound.
it follows that i'm not using anywhere near all of the samples provided, but it's starting to feel like a real kit.
usually there are 12 - 18 different volume samples for a single sound, so i've chosen 4 at intervals of 3 or 4 and then set their velocity at :-
98 - 127
83 - 102
58 - 87
00 - 62
and flick zone crossfades on for each instrument in global.
not sure how to go about uploading this, then, considering it wouldn't just work with the samples the way they are - any hints
