I bought one, but I don't like the feel very much and I find boring the programming. I'm not an expert of it, but today I would rather buy a higher class device. I ended using only the 4 faders and the 2 wheels of my mc2000 controller keyboard.

I guess what you really saying is don't buy it

At the first look on the UC-33 i can't help felling that it's a bit too "plastic" for my taste. But it is cheap....(hmm).

I used to own a KNOBBY from Encore Electronics, and that my friends was a sturdy piece of equipment

I need more controlls more sliders and more knobs.

But i'll sertainly take your words into consideration Alfonso. Thanx!

I just thaught about something.

Iv'e been taking for granted that while using the UC-33e i won't have to use the USB inteface while using the UC-33 as a MIDI device.

Explanation:
I mean i program all the MIDI CC's into the UC-33 using the USB interface ofcourse. But then i disconnect the USB before using it.
Why?
Well it's a known fact for me that i can't have any USB interface running on my DAW when running SFP. It makes my setup reboot all the time.

So i hope that it's not a reqirement to have the USB interface connetcted also when only using it as a MIDI device. (i allready know about the optional powersupply instead of using USB powersupply)

Do i make sense ?

Hi there,
I speak for myself but... forget about the UC33 : evolution product do not only look plastic, they Feel plastic. I tried one and I found it really "bad" (it doesn't turn very well etc). On the other hand, it could be just "enough".
Here I use an edirol keyboard with a few rotary/faders of better quality than the us33... The faders are not great but the knobs are enough.
Now if I had a behringer, (if it is better than the Edirol stuff) it would be a luxury for my needs, but at the same time, I wouldn't run short of CCs controls if i need...
ps: I use the edirol midi or usb (in SX i just change the track source to "edirol midi" and the dest to SFP, and that's it).
