Either way, it stands out from the pack, and I'm all for that. Got a pretty good review in the new Sound on Sound. Sigh...so many tempting toys.

wow, these guys have a thing with using "japanesque" design on their website. And they've done a really nice job too. I mean, I recognized it almost immediately.

monosynth looks cool. Might be nice to have for those "hey, can you do a 2 minute track for my video real quick?" deals. It's like, "all basic synths in one" kinda thing.

Yea, beautiful it certainly is... but... what do I want it for? I don't get the point...

Well, one of the things that I find appealing about the Monomachine tabletop model is that it's very portable. I'd love to take something like that with me to work and knock out some ideas during my lunch break. Aside from that, the thing can crank out some pretty interesting sounds. I joined the yahoo list just out of curiosity, and I've heard some great sounding stuff created by the members. The demos at the Monomachine site are pretty weak in my opinion.

Still...for the money I think I'd rather get a Noah.

Monomachine is the first hardware synth that's got me interested in a while. If the desktop version accepts batteries as a power source, it may replace my Gameboy.

No battery power as far as I know. What kind of music program is there for the Gameboy?
