I'd be absolutely amazed if any existing customer gets any new plugins for free.

But think about the upgrade: most companies will charge up to US$99 for a upgrade - CWA will do it free.

That is a present for everyone straight away.

It's not a typo.

I think Immanuel is right. It's a part of simplifying the Creamware vocabulary and it's good in this case. In the past there were many disappointed people here and there when they noticed the DSP meter showing 14DSPs. It's simplier to say 14 and one for management (but smaller font) than saying 15 and describing the fact the DSP meter shows 14 because...... blah blah blah

It's strange we haven't seen anything yet. Harmony Central usually provides on-site coverage, but their Web site is showing nothing. I hope nothing went wrong at Messe?

Oh, uh...never mind what I said...NI says all shall be revealed at 11:00 German Time. That's about an hour-and-a-half away from when I'm writing now...it's past midnight in California...I think I'll go to bed....

I wonder what time that is in the UK? The clocks went an hour forward over the weekend, which always completely buggers up my body clock for...well, about six months, at which point the clocks go back again! Arghh! It's a conspiracy!

Even if the mix'n'master/Synth'n'sampler packs are only for new customers, I think CWA should make it sure they understand what kind of great gift they are entitled to receive (= more info, pictures, sound examples, etc..).

Yup I think this is one of CWs best policies. It's also one of the reasons why I have 3 pulsar cards now

Once I was working as a radio DJ. I lead a night show on saturdays. In autumn I had to work an hour longer due to the time change. I thought in spring will be the shorter night but not for me

The DJ who was supposed to come at 6 AM (spring time) came at 8AM because he set his clock wrong way

You'll hate me saying this but, honestly, I think it's not fair if only new customers are getting those extra plugins.

It's the same as (at least here in Finland) with teleoperators. Those providing GSM services are giving huge gifts to NEW customers. Us OLD customers are left with nothing to thank for loyalty. It's not FAIR!
This will lead old customers to take those gifts for NEW customers from different companies.

Okay, it's a lot easier to change teleoperator than your music production system, but the principle is the same.

I want some respect that I paid tons of money for top of the line product and am still willing to continues using it and probably paying some new plugs, but first, gimme some gifts

Okay, SFP4 will be free for existing users, so I'll check it first and see what it gives.

Think of all the great sounds you have had long before the new users will. Think of the advances in your music since you use SFP. These things happen all the time and there's no use in complaining about it.

Hm. . . does anyone know what exactly is new in version 4.0? To me it looks like its basically the same but with more plugins included.

If that's the case, then it seems the additional plugins would have to be included for current users. Otherwise, what's the point of releasing a 4.0 at this time???

And since it is "4.0" instead of just moving to version "3.5" I would expect that the changes/updates are significant enough to justify that move. Otherwise, Creamware will likely be facing some criticism that they really don't need at this point from the media.

Well, they say on the page that "the 4.0 software also adds a number of new features and highlights to it". So I guess it's safe to assume that it means what it says? I certainly hope so!

Undo function, stereo cabling, better 96k functionality? My top three.

I dont know, but I guess SFP 4 will contain only bug fixes and maybe a few plugins for free. Why not then SFP 3.2? For marketing reasons.. SFP4 just sounds and looks better..
I say that because to me it seems almost seems impossible for Creamware (or any other company) to have added new things in SFP in such a short period of time! (since they got out of the insolvency and started to work again, up to now).
But anyway, no matter what changes, it is really nice to have them back and ACTIVE!
