Hi all does anyone have problems saving/recalling presets with the mono eq's.
I find that the gain and 2x switch are all that get saved, all the other settings- freq, Q, and filter type get missed.
And the compare feature, well that's hardly a feature
I've emailed STW about this but I'm waiting to hear a response.
Thanks for your time

Hi
Are working in XTC mode or 'normal' mode? Some devices in XTC do not remember certain parameters. Using the MultFX device can help although I have not tried it with the Vintage EQ.

Hi Kenf, I don't use XTC mode only "normal",
I've tried it in all different configurations, as an insert and as a free standing device.
I guess not many people use a mono source much or don't use mono vintagEQ often, it's all I seem to use these days.

Thanks

Hi davo
I'm sorry I couldn't be any help. These kind of annoying 'bugs' spoil CW products and the lack of acknowledgement from CW support that the 'bugs' exist or even you exist. Maybe everything will be 'fixed' with SFP 4....

Thanks Kenf, Immanuel is right STW is'nt CW but we have all been around long enough and the rule seems to be the same though.
Only way to get anything fixed is to make a loud enough noise- anyone care to join in?

Not making too much noise anymore... You could read alot from me about problems with mainly the STW compressors. I know the problems with presets too, but the compressors were much more important to me.
I'm not really sure, if developement goes on. Lately there was a statement of KimGR that there will be a bundle-update. There exist also a beta-version with fixed problems (compressor X, only sidechain-version)- the case where I made loud noise - but I'm not allowed to give it away. This was in December and the new version works perfectly. It's a shame that there is no release - version since then. I simply don't understand why!!!???
I'm not happy with STW - support. It's ridiculous, not to release a working update for months.

The behaviour of that compressor does not in any way match the numbers, that I dial in. I gave up using it - it was just too strange.

A shame, that they do not release the working version.

STW's Mastering Compressors and Vintage EQ's have so few parameters that preset lists were considered redundant.

Same goes for the Transient Attacker and Transient Designer.

Who decided all this? :???: and if that is the case... the "feature" should be removed completely.

I don't often make a preset with the EQ's admittedly but every now and again it is handy as a starting point.

Hi
I often have 5 or 6 compressors and maybe 2 transient designers in a mix. Having to set the TD up each time (XTC mode) is annoying but if I had to set the compressors up was well, that would be ridiculous. As for CW not being responsible for third parties I purchased TD from CW not SPL, so I assume CW should at least respond to support questions? Even if just to say it’s nothing to do with them.
I agree that presets for the TD is un-necessary but being able to remember the setting is essential. Presets for EQ can be a useful starting point as davo said.

I would definitely like to get a preset list for the TD. For the easy way to get the exact same setting.
