Nestor - your story is similar to mine. I found a cat in the park last year. This thing looked like it had a broken front paw. It came hobbling up to me as if to ask for help. I took it to a local animal hospital thinking I could just drop it off and they would take care of it. I found out right away that's not how they work. If you bring it in, it's yours

Anyway, it turned out the paw was just infected so they gave me some medicine and I took the thing home and nursed it back to health. We found a good home for it afterwards.
