Looks like a very nice thing, I hope so much that it will be possible to run CW stuff on a platform like this sometime in the future.

Whether it's OS X, BeOS or DeMuDi or ... is not so important to me as long as the UI and general usage of the OS is pretty straightforward and there is a good pro-level sequencer available to turn the handle.

The Analog Devices page has somewhere a programmers reference to Csound for the exact DSP's on our boards (I think), so just maybe CW programming is not so hard to push to Linux.

I guess that the hardcore programmers here will be thrilled to see, that the modules for DSP's and synthesis has not been finished yet in DeMuDi. Here's maybe a chance to pull the link between Pulsar and Linux !?

I for one chose Pulsar so that my lousy programming skills was not to hinder me

Cheers

and there is a good pro-level sequencer available to turn the handle.

Although I understand the "Pulsar as central studio piece" (especially for routing via drivers, etc), I'm also beginning to see that many musicians still don't think this way-- but instead along the lines of "dedicated box for dedicated task." Pulsar can work this way too, and if used as a module (via ADAT, SPDIF, MIDI, Analog, Zlink etc), this "prosequencer" part of the equation becomes less important.

However for many of us who like the fully integrated nature of the software drivers, etc, it is a harsh reality that there aren't many "pro" sequencers out for alternative OSs and this may in reality hinder development on these alternate OSs... Hopefully Creamware can see the purpose and use for a small/stable/efficient OS, anyway...
