Well, another rhodes.. I have nord electro, and scarbee.. I think scarbee gets my vote for being responsive and playable. I'd suppose NI's rhode's clone is similar. (I have scarbee's kontakt version) On a side note, scarbee's wurlitzer is probably the best recording of a wurlitzer I've ever heard. It probably sound better than me recording the real thing, so it's more than just "real". It's super good.

I have had the REAL thing for ages... then I sold it. Nevertheless, cos I have had it, I can tell... There is only one close-to-perfection emulation of a Rhodes that I know, and this is the patch number 22 in the Edirol SuperQuarted, in the electric piano section. Nevertheless, the more I leasten to emulations, the more I can say none is dinamically perfect. Perhaps NI came with the best of them all with this release, but I don't think so... I guess it will be again close, but not perfect. There are already quite a few o them, each of them suits better certain kind of music, but the real thing will stay the real thing.
I don't understand why it is so difficult to sample such Rhodes piano, it should be the harmonics... there are many other instruments already sampled and they really sound like the original, but this one, despite the many instances, had never really suncced fully.
