Personaly I liked the previous layout more then the new one. I think they should have kept the old layout.

Me, I prefer the new more square blocks :smile:I think they seem to be a bit smaller and this makes things more clear on the screen.

But this thread should be in the General forum

Well, allright. But they should have kept the old logo, which I prefer above this yellow billiardball.

The logo is more straight forward now if it's small (for example the coursor) so as a marketing move - it's good. In the scope-icon-logo times it was difficult to say what the coursor is - the shape wasn't clear in 8x8 (I don't know exactly the coursor size). Well, I also have to get used to it, though

I prefer the old logo and layout too... maybe its because I was accustomed to it...

HOWEVER, the NEW layout and the NEW logo just make me want to write some NEW music!
Weird isnt?

Maybe it's because the light-green colour? Or the circle? I wonder if the new logo is feng-shui compilant?

Yes Samplaire

The smaller size was the first thing I noticed. It is quite nice, when I connect multiple stuff to a mixer.

I'd like the modules to be reshapable so for example you could have a long thin

Pulsar2 Analog Source

or a short fat

Pulsar2
Analog
Source

You can sort of do this with the MicroMixer by giving it a short name in the bottom left field.

I agree the logo is distracting. I have the same complaint about some of the new flexor offerings. Aren't there enough annoying ads in the world already?

Yeah I totally agree about not being able to half size the bar and be able to access the pulldown menus, I hate having to keep it wide. I too dislike the billiard ball with distorted edges that now sits beside my clock.Otherwise it works fine so far =)

Ha! - actually the same thoughts crossed my mind this morning as I was really getting "into" the new layout. I could swear that ball was staring at me  Yeah the icon looks bad.

I was sort of looking at the new logo and trying to figure out what the relationship of the ball is to the name of the product. Can't seem to find a relationship at all. Maybe there was some departmental joke or something that got out of control. I don't know. At first I thought it was kinda neat but after a bit more consideration, not sure I like it. Oh well. Maybe they should have put some ideas up for us to look at and vote on? wutever

Sandrob, that window scrolling is an old bug. It happens here with mixers, project view and live bar. And always when none of the GUI panels are clearly selected, like after saving a preset or so. Then SFP looses focus and scrolling the mouse shifts up the GUI. This can easily restored by scrolling the mouse back before 'activating' a panel or clicking on anything else.

interesting, that's happned to me for the first time.
i'm not sure that i clearely understand how to fix problem, but i tried to click all around, minimise/maximise live bar, even hide/show project but didn't fixed.

anyway, i did rollback to old drivers and to 3.1c, first of all because of live bar which i want to use in the half size on top sequencer.

The 'billard as you say ball doesn't hurt my eyes. I got used to it. From the past, I like the Pulsar logo the best.
