is the i/o card firmly attached to the main card?

you did install the driver, right?

maybe you should reinstall 4.0......

Hi
Do you remember getting an XTC activation page during installation. On this page it was possible to de-activate I/O's, so you could run your card just like an XTC card. This may have nothing to do with your problem but if the settings were incorrect on this page it may have disabled your I/Os?

I already re-installed it (I didn't un-install it first)

i remember disabling something... i thought it was the XTC mode (i don't wanna use it)
and i did it again when i re-install the sfp.

might be the problem!
checking right now...

thanks...

Did you reinstall the drivers as well? If this fails I would uninstall it all, take the cards out, reboot, then put them back and reinstall everything. Just do a normal install of SFP 4, don't worry about the XTC.
Hope this helps.

Hi DeXa
You disable XTC mode in the settings menu in SFP. I don't think you needed to do anything to the XTC activation mode page. Sounds like for what ever reason your I/Os have stayed de-activated. It maybe worth contacting CWA?

I read here (planetz) that creamware support team has only on parson and he have more then 1500 e-mails on the inbox folder.

don't think that connecting to cwa worth the time.

anyway, i tried everything!
uninstalling Scope and re-install it. nothing!

shouldn't i have analog output on the startup project?

Does Windows see the Creamware card in device manager and sounds ? If not, the driver isn't properly installed. If it does, maybe it's a hardware problem.....as garyb says, check the two parts of the Pulsar are connected properly.

Maybe you should pull out the card (make sure you have grounded yourself or use a ground strap) and make sure the i/o module is firmly seated on the card. Then reseat in the PCI slot. Barring this its probably time for CW support

email might be out but a telephone might work(sorry Ralf  ).....

re the startup project:
i just want to be absolutely clear so i'll just ask...you did check in the hardware i/o menu and you didn't see any analog i/o? that sounds like the i/o plate is not connected properly or is not working.

normally there should be i/o in the startup project, but i suppose it could happen that there were none.the startup project is configured according to your hardware's i/o. i'd be more likely to believe the startup project configurator script failed than the hardware(no offence to the programmers).if so it would be very easy to make a proper project, but i'm sure you know that...

really my guess is that you have installed xtc instead of the proper mode for your card, but there are holes in that theory too.

have you physically checked the card? it's very unlikely that the two parts are not well seated, but it's possible.

in my experience, the thing always works..well, more often than windows, anyway.....

i might try all over again from scratch, making sure to do everything in the proper order(format the hd ,everything..)just to make sure that the problem seemed to be hardware and then i'd contact your dealer or cwa as appropriate, either in person or by phone, for warranty or service.

questions about install order?tips and tricks. other questions? please ask.

*edit* you know, why not go ahead and install xtc mode? i won't hurt anything and you may want it in the future for reasons you haven't thought of.. and that way you can see if it works right in a typical install.really, start off fresh again though, so that you can double check every step and old uninstalled registry changes won't cause you problems....

make sure that the card is firmly seated and you can use 99% or purer alcohol on a swab to clean the contacts on the board if they are dirty from fingerprints.
