Hi all,
Well I am not infront of SFP at the moment, but, I noticed today when I try and load either Vectron Player, Vectron, SB404, I get 2 missing DSP files, I did a search on the drive and one was there but still said it couldnt be found, so I copied it and replaced the old one and it stopped saying it was missing there is another files called some like " H-S something or other " that I can not find on my PC nor the 3.1 disc so I downloaed 4.0 again and will try to install over the previous instal in hopes of a fix.
What I am wondering is, I thought I read something like 4.0 was hiding files due to some read only issue or something and there was an easy fix?
Any one have any ideas what I can do, its odd, all of a sudden those files just up and vanished.
All help is appreciated!
Cheers!

Thanks Valis!
Ill do that this evening, I dont understand why all of a sudden these files became hiden or what ever is going on, but I did recal that was a common issue with the 4.0 instal.
Ill prob just rewrite over my directory as suggested first to see if this fixes the issue since I dont belive it will over write and folders or patches and what not I already have installed.
Thanks again.

another source for missing dsp files is the dsp.idx file in the /DSP directory.
This file is a kind of module registry and is rebuilt automatically during SFP startup if it's missing.
Possibly it's also rebuilt (or modified)under other circumstances, too - and the file attributes might be related in some way to this process.
cheers, Tom

Son of A!
Ok well I did a rewrite over the /scope directory with a fresh download of SFP4 also did the attrib on the folder, it frosze up for a sec, I saw drive movement from about 5 seconds then it didnt say anything and just went back to the cmd prompt, from there I loaded SFP again and still to no avail same missing file =/
The error is - " Can't find DSP file as S-H lev-enb - Please check instalation. "
No where on my PC is this file nor the SFP 4 install directory nor the 3.1c disc, so now what hehe?
Cheers!

Basic Pitch, I'm having the same problem you had with synths with the Transient Designer. I'm getting the same message, even if SFP is looking for another DSP file related to SPL: "Can't find DSP file SPL dynamic processor 2". How did you work out? Can you point me in the right direction? Where I have to look for that file (if I have it in my HD though...)?
Many many thanks in advance

Hi there,
Well the biggest issue I was having was that the file name the error message pops up was not the full file name, infact is was started at the middle of the file and left off the 1st 2 parts of the name, seperated by underscores.
What I had done was to use the tip given above in dos mode, then I re-downloaded Scope 4.0, found the missing file in the download and copied it over the file that was there but was not being read.
Everything seems to be working fine again. What was odd is that it only did this on 3 plugs.
Who knows, it was my understanding the Scope 4 installer was pretty fubar
Cheers!
