Software phasers seem to specialise in having lots of knobs and controls, very few of which seem to have much effect
A phaser with guts
i re listened to my own phaser and it's much less good than i remembered. It's an "EPS16+ phaser" , cause the eps had a really badquality phaser but with interesting modulation shape with highresonance. It's not bad at all on reggae guitares though, but it's not something I feel ready to throw in the arena

Good hint decimator!

EDIT :
Have you tried the kjaerhusaudio.com stuff?
I like it really much, they have a good vintage style(algo) without noise though.
Let us build our own one? Must be possible, or?

Chris, the Kjaerhus phaser is quite nice though I still have a little more preference for the one that comes with Vaz Modular.
The Supaphaser can come to extremes, a good FX.
However my absolute winner is still MobilOhm, it sounds stronger and really pushes the envelope for " phasers and beyond "
I noticed on various FX bundles that the phaser is often missing, odd ...
